AT&T internet down in Washington-Willow? Who else is out?

Ok so our AT&T went dead around 7 tonight 😩 router lights are doing the red blinky thing and nothing I do fixes it. Unplugged it, counted to 30, plugged it back in, the whole routine 🙃

Tried the support line and after 40 min on hold I gave up. The app just says "we're aware of an issue in your area" which, ok, what area?? 🤔

So I'm typing this off my phone hotspot and burning through data like crazy 📱🔥 Anybody else out? Would love to know which neighborhoods are down so I can tell if it's just our few blocks or something bigger... Washington-Willow, the Square, Mt. Sequoyah, south side, north by the mall? 🗺️

Also any hotspot tips? I've got the kids' school stuff and my work email in the morning 😅 Is Arsaga's or the library a decent backup for wifi, or is that a pipe dream?

ours in johnson went out around the same time, 7ish, same red blinky light. so it's not just your few blocks. i'd guess it's something bigger than washington-willow.

for the hotspot, if you're on a laptop set the wifi to "metered connection" so windows doesn't burn data on updates, and pause any cloud syncing (onedrive, google photos, etc). that saved me last time. kids' school stuff is usually fine on a phone for a night.

library and arsaga's are closed this late, but either should work in the morning if it's still down. i'd bring a charger and get there early for a good seat. if you can't wait on hold again, i've had better luck with the AT&T chat in the app than the phone line.

hope it's back by morning. my dog is already confused about why i'm not on the couch with the laptop lol

The metered connection tip is a good one, I didn't even think about OneDrive chewing through data in the background 🙈 Just paused it. I'll try the chat in the app too, anything beats another 40 min of hold music 🎶😩

Still red blinky here as of right now 🔴 so I'm planning on Arsaga's first thing with the laptop and a charger ☕🔌 Will report back if it's actually usable!

Ours here in Happy Hollow is out too, so that's Johnson, Washington-Willow and us at least. I was up early and the router's still blinking red.

Ethan, Arsaga's is a good plan. Get there before the morning rush if you can, those tables fill up fast when everybody's working remote. If anyone else is out, post your neighborhood and whether it's come back so we can keep a running list here. That'll help folks figure out how big this is, since the app isn't saying.
